Just a little wish.

I woke up early this morning

because of Sean wanting to go for a walk and I am glad we did. 

 honest I am sure that dog Sean was saying "see,I told you it would be worth taking me out "
I also found  sky watch friday  it is lovely to see us all under the same sky.

In the garden.

• planted some potatoes in the garden

• planted some Agastache seeds I got them free with Thompson and Morgan.
• planted some Asters carpet ball mix

• Planted some Billardiera Longiflora,Free Libertia Grandiflora and Amaranthus Red Garnet  from my son for Christmas

we are having some lovely weather

In the evening it has been cold enough to have the wood burner on.
tomorrow we will be taking down the Christmas tree ready for the New year and the builders will be back to plaster so afterwards I will pick out some stone to go behind the fireplace. I was thinking something like this but in a different color.

Then the builders will come and put a wall up and I will have a small entrance hall for shoes coats etc no more shoes in the house
I would love something like these
I have been drinking the ginger beer I made it is really tasty I was told not to drink too much.

I think I like the last one the most but would be happy with the first one. so these are some of my plans for inside the house in 2012
In the garden

• planted out the African daises in the garden on a slope.

• planted the Dianthus in pots

• planted some more stocks in toilet roll pots another 14

• planted some cape gooseberries and sedum rock garden seeds.

Last day of the holidays the boys go back to school tomorrow :(

Today is a no spend day and I went for another trip with a certain group of friends here are some photos.

  but however they came everyone came in good spirits and enjoyed the day out.

Boxing Day

is always my favorite day after  Christmas everyone is more relaxed eating the leftovers of the day before more time to spend with the children and each other also a good day to have a long walk that's what we are going to do today.Or maybe we are not "the builder" is going to work I need to take Aled to the clinic Daniel is going to play football with his friends.

back from the clinic Aled needs to keep his leg off the floor for a day or two so no walking for him but a lot of walking for me."Mummmmmmm" have to go bye.

My pastry is chillin

Made some pastry for mince pies and canapés. The pastry for the mince pies is made with ground almonds first time I have made it with ground almonds recipe and the canapés /baby quiche just plain short crust recipe.
It rained in the night so today there is no need to water  and the forecast is for a rainy day tomorrow so it might be cold enough for the fire cross fingers.

The salad and lemon from the garden and the pastry is easy to use and tasty. The tablecloth I made a long time ago.

• planted some more beetroot (note to myself don't leave seed packets outside in rain)
• planted on some more stock plants so far 103.

Just read "A childs Christmas in Wales" by Dylan Thomas to Aled thank you Mum and Dad he loves it.
At the moment it is 10.58 pm and it is raining cats and dogs.
