I am going to make some Ginger beer with some help from Sherrie at "simple living" I have started the Ginger beer plant and am looking forward to some old fashioned ginger beer does anyone know how to make Dandelion and Burdock?
I dried out the candied peel last night I put it by the woodburner.
All ready for Christmas New Years pudding
I have started a sealed pot challenge that I wont open untill 3rd of December 2012
Your candied peel looks yummy! Bet it tastes much nicer than commercially manufactured peel, too. What is a Sealed Pot Challenge? Good luck with your Gingerbeer :) We made it years ago and woke up in the middle of the night to what sounded like crackers going off. It was our bottled Gingerbeer exploding.
ReplyDeleteOh, dumb me! I clicked on the link and have discovered what this challenge is all about. Sounds worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteDesiree I hope we don't have ginger beer exploding.
ReplyDeleteThe candied peel is very tasty, much nicer than the store bought here.
Ginger Beer sounds delicious...years ago I made beer...I liked it, the ex didn't! Your candied peel looks wonderful...can't wait to see the pudding. Now I'm off to find the link to the Sealed Pot Challenge!

Hi Cathy
ReplyDeleteI am an ejit. Please forgive me for calling you Pom; my head needs to be attached to my brain so perhaps another cup of coffee might help...?
Meant to tell you the Christmas background is lovely.
Sandra who, perhaps shouldn't be on the computer so early w/out caffeine.
