: Objects of my affection - Week 2

My sisters and I were given a clown each from some relatives at Christmas.
The reason why I love him so is that it reminds me of the song my dad used to sing to me when I came down to breakfast but he always made up his own lyrics' never the same twice.
Cathy's clown

Our garden or the building site

We still have a lot of work to do inside and outside of the house the walls have to be plastered, Floors tiled and there are a few walls that have to be knocked down. Yesterday I rushed to move the vegetable gardens and the builder did not turn up but he did send some ice-cream with DH.

The building in the background is the kibbutz members club and also the library. The member club is used for meetings, keep fit, bible classes, parties, shows, and also as a funeral parlor.

I still have a lot of the hill to move but I think I will leave that to the digger.
I want to add three more beds a tall one for root veg, one for beans and the other for watermelons .Dh will be busy ;)

This the patio as it is south facing it has a lot of sun hopefully in the not too distant future it will have a pergola over it then I can grow I don't know if it will be fruit or flower as long as it is good in the heat and it can be hot against all that concrete
As you can see we also have to put new drain covers "builder I don't want ice cream I want action"

Aled is still not well

My baby is still not well We had to take him to the A&E he had  a 39.5 temperature and was screaming  complaining  that he had a pain in his stomach I straight away thought of appendicitis . We got there and he was quizzed about it he was telling them how he takes his own temperature and they asked for a urine sample in a plastic cup. They took his temperature it was just over 39.3. then he had an x-ray of his chest  with that the doctor told us that Aled had Bronchitis and we were given a prescription  it only took 15mins from the time we got there to the time we left. I really don’t like seeing them ill I can't wait until I can say "Aled can you keep the volume down" maybe tomorrow. But until then marathon monopoly, story reading and running upstairs for drinks.

Taff's Well is the original location of the story that inspired the film The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain, which was written and directed by Taff's Well natives Ivor and Christopher Monger.
So no surprise I think I can move mountains

Sometimes

Sometimes I like just to have a bit of quiet time taking pictures and today the flowers want their picture taken.

I think I can move mountains

Ok pile of earth also suddenly I felt very tall maybe it was the 25.40 centimeters (10 inches) of mud on the bottom of my shoes.Time for a cup of tea

I am moving my raised beds because at the moment our house is a building site so hopefully this will be the last time. "Did you hear that Mr. Builder?"

This bed is for egg plants, melons with a side dish of corn

Still a lot of work to do so tea finished off to work
