Why do I blog
The other day I had over 200 page views in a day I was really excited and so were the boys Afterwards the boys were saying about nearly everything that we did "You have to put that on the blog" it made me think again why do I blog? I used to visit a lot of peoples blog it looked fun so I decided as I was going to start a new adventure of growing vegetables a blog would help me recall what was planted, the mistakes and the harvests but seeing all those page views I began to doubt what I was writing, would people like it? Would I offend someone? Today after having the gang of 10 here and hardly any computer time it gave me time to think, so what can one do I am going to carry on blogging and as this great quote goes “Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth.”
I admire these sentiments!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy
ReplyDeleteHow strange that you should write a post like this. It strikes a cord for me regarding my last post that you commented on. I really wondered if I should put it on the blog as I usually stick to cats and needlework, but then I thought I'd give it a go. My dots and commas etc are not good, I know, but the sentiments there. lol
You're right of course, we worry too much about pleasing others to the extent that we are not really being ourselves.

Absolutely LOVE your quote, Cathy! Wise, wise words to live by :)
ReplyDeleteYour cherries look absolutely yummy! Are they growing in your garden?
You really should blog for yourself, first and foremost. As soon as you concern yourself with pleasing the expectations of others, you set yourself up for failure, because you can never please everyone :)
Big hug,

I think if you blog what's in your heart and about what you enjoy you can never go wrong!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend Cathy!

Thank you all for your comments what I think I must do is not to look at the stats and enjoy blogging.
ReplyDeleteLove that quote Cathy, it reminds me of Lee Ann Womack's song I Hope You Dance -
ReplyDelete"I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance"
And blog like you don't care about comments :)
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
