Yesterday was the start of Remembrance day

I thought this says a lot about Israel

  1. We hate war as well - but we are always prepared for it (as, no doubt Israel is as well!

Anzac Day (25th April) and Remembrance Day (11th November) are two days for us when we show our respect for those who did take up the call when needed and those many who never returned!

  3. I don't think God intended us to have political boundaries when He created earth. These are man-made and we will never have peace while these exist. I do like the Golda Meir sentiments though!

  5. As a Jew...I say...never again. but when I look out at the world today...and hear the screams "we will wipe Israel off the face of the earth" I shudder. I pray never again but I brace for whatever is to come.

  6. I do not believe that ordinary Israelis or ordinary Palestinians want war - they just want to get on with their lives. Unfortunately it is the fanatics and fundamentalists on both sides who prefer war to compromise. Thank you, Cathy, for this provocative, interesting post. What would Golda say about the state of Israel today? cheers, catmint
